PGA Power Rankings: Top 5 Golfers For 2025 RBC Heritage

PGA Power Rankings: Top 5 Golfers For 2025 RBC Heritage
The PGA Tour rolls onto its next Signature Event at the RBC Heritage following Rory McIlroy's breakthrough win at the Masters. Scottie Scheffler will look to defend his title at Harbour Town Golf Links and remains the betting favorite at +400 odds. He's followed by Collin Morikawa (+1100), Ludvig Aberg (+1200), Xander Schauffele (+1400), with Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas rounding out the top-five betting odds at +2000.
This is a par 71 course that runs just over 7,200 yards. Precision is the goal off-the-tee and on approach, with narrow fairways and greens measuring just 3,700 square feet on average. Overseeded Bermudagrass is the putting surface, which measures 12.5 feet via Stimpmeter. Fortunately, the rough stands only 1.25 inches in length, so errant tee shots and approach shots will be a bit easier for golfers to get up-and-down.
Harbour Town will be an adjustment for any golfer in this field who just played the lightning-fast Bentgrass greens at Augusta National. This Signature Event does not feature a cut line. Every golfer in this field will play four rounds at Harbour Town, with the forecast calling for warm, dry conditions with minimal wind at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

PGA Power Rankings: RBC Heritage
1. Scottie Scheffler (+400) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best RBC Heritage odds
No surprise here but Scottie Scheffler's the top golfer to back at Harbour Town this week. Scheffler is the defending champion and has a pair of top-5 finishes in his last two events played.
Ranked third in total strokes gained, including sixth SG: Off-the-Tee and sixth SG: Approach, the World No. 1 golfer is also seventh in proximity and first in scrambling. Ranking second in scoring average and first on par 4s is just the cherry on top.
+400 is a short price for the favorite in a PGA Tour event but we're seeing Scheffler round into form. Plus, this course fits his style, which features plenty of tee-to-green accuracy. Scheffler will be atop the leaderboard once Sunday's final round tees off.
2. Patrick Cantlay (+2000) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best RBC Heritage odds
Patrick Cantlay has turned in three straight T3 finishes or better at the RBC Heritage. It's been a bit of a slump for Cantlay, falling outside the top 30 in three of his past four events played.
I expect a strong bounce-back effort at a course he's historically dominated. Cantlay is 15th in total strokes gained in 2025. He's 18th SG: Approach, ninth at finding greens in regulation at 70.8 percent, along with 24th on approach shots from 200+ yards.
Ranking seventh on par 4s and 26th in birdie average, Cantlay should be able to propel himself up the leaderboard to shake off his current slump. 20-1 is a solid number for Cantlay in the outright betting market ahead of his return to Harbour Town.
3. Corey Conners (+2200) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best RBC Heritage odds
Corey Conners has been a phenomenal ball-striker this season. The Canadian golfer just turned in a T8 finish at the Masters and has four top 10 finishes in his last five events played.
Ranked 16th SG: Off-the-Tee, including 17th driving accuracy, Conners is also hitting 70.3 percent of greens in regulation, ranking 13th on the PGA Tour. He's 31st proximity and 16th on par 4s.
Conners logged a T12 finish at Harbour Town in 2022 but has not been inside the top 30 in 2023 or 2024. That changes this week. At 22-1, don't be afraid to back Conners due to his quality tee-to-green prowess.
4. Shane Lowry (+2800) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best RBC Heritage odds
Shane Lowry shot a horrific 81 in the final round at Augusta National. He'll be eager to get going at Harbour Town, where he barely made the cut in 2024.
The Irishman logged a T3 finish at the 2022 RBC Heritage, finishing only one stroke behind Jordan Spieth and Patrick Cantlay's playoff. Then, in 2023, Lowry slid to a T64 finish, followed by a T67 finish in 2024.
He's recorded three top 10 finishes in 2025, including most recently at the Valspar Championship in late March. Lowry ranks fifth in total strokes gained. He's seventh SG: Approach, fifth in proximity, and 37th driving accuracy.
20th scrambling and top-40 in approach shots from over 200 yards out also point to Lowry having a phenomenal outing at Harbour Town this week. At 28-1, I'm willing to back Lowry at a quarter unit (0.25) to get seven units of profit if he delivers his first outright win of the season.
5. Sepp Straka (+4000) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best RBC Heritage odds
Since Harbour Town rewards accuracy tee-to-green, Sepp Straka is the final golfer I really like who fits this bill. The Austrian golfer missed the cut at the Masters, only the second time he hasn't played during the weekend in 11 events this season.
There's no cut line to make at Harbour Town this week. Straka has three top 10 finishes in 2025, including an outright win at the American Express in January. He ranks seventh in total strokes gained, including fifth SG: Approach and 13th driving accuracy.
Straka is third at finding greens in regulation (72.5%) and second in proximity. He's also 12th for putting average, third in scoring average and first in birdie average in 2025.
Straka profiles as a great value play at 40-1 odds. If he didn't miss the cut at Augusta National last week, we'd likely be landing a shorter price between 25 and 30-1. Let's pounce on this tee-to-green tactician.
