PGA Power Rankings: Top 5 Golfers For 2025 Masters
Last year, Scottie Scheffler added his second green jacket after finishing 11 under par, defeating Ludvid Aberg by four strokes.
Also in the mix for last year's Masters were Tommy Fleetwood, Max Homa, and Collin Morikawa, who all finished in third place in the tournament.
Ultimately, Scheffler became the fourth-youngest golfer to win multiple Matsers titles, joining Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Seve Ballesteros in this category.
Only six golfers have ever won three or more Masters tournaments. Arnold Palmer earned four. Meanwhile, Phil Mickelson, Gary Player, Jimmy Demaret, Sam Snead, and Nick Faldo each won three Masters. Mickelson was the most recent. Now Scheffler can be next with a win in this year's Masters Tournament.
Below, I'll rank the top five golfers you'll want to pay attention to for the 2025 Masters.

2025 Masters Top 5 Golfers Rankings
1. Scottie Scheffler +450 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds
Scottie Scheffler is currently the world's No. 1 golfer.
That said, he missed the first four weeks of the season due to a hand injury and only made his season debut in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at the end of January.
Ultimately, his focus was on defending the Masters title and that's where he'll be this weekend. Scheffler is listed at +400 odds to win the tournament and is currently the odds-on favorite to do so.
He also admitted that last year's success has nothing to do with this year. But it's hard to believe him after he's won two of the last three Masters. He plays well on this course and it's obvious.
2. Rory McIllroy +650 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds
It's a good bet that Rory McIllroy will finish in Augusta's top ten. He's got seven top-ten finishes in 16 Masters apperances and was the runner-up in 2022.
Unlike Scheffler, McIllroy already has already won two PGA Tour events this season. He's got legitimate momentum heading into the Masters this season.
We'll see if he's got enough stamina down the stretch to pull away with this year's Masters.
3. Xander Schauffele +2500 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds
The best Xander Schauffele has done in the Masters is a third-place finish in 2021.
However, he broke out last year after he won two of the four major championships. He's clearly made for the spotlight.
That said, he had been dealing with an intercoastal strain and cartilage tear in his ribcage in the offseason. He tried to play through it but realized that wouldn't work. Like Scheffler, Schauffele was targeting the Masters weekend to make sure he was 100% prepared and healthy in time.
He's played four events before the Masters and made all four cuts. Two weeks ago, he finished 12th in the Valspar Invitiational. Winning the Masters might be challenging, but Schauffele should at least be in contention.
4. Collin Morikawa +1600 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds
Collin Morikawa finished tied in third place in last year's Masters Tournament. He's never won the Masters, but he's cut all four previous appearances.
In addition, he's finished inside the top-ten in each of his last three Masters apperances. He's been one of the most consistent golfers in Augusta.
But while he hasn't won the Masters, Morikawa does have two major championships to his name.
5. Ludvig Aberg +2000 Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds
Ludvig Aberg is one of the most impressive young golfers out there. He finished runner-up a year ago and is a strong contender to be in the running again this year.
Aberg won the Genesis Invitational this year, his second PGA Tour victory in a short career. However despite coming close last season, he has never won a major.
He's vowing to stay true to himself ahead of this year's Masters. There will be many more eyes on him on Thursday than there were last year.
