2025 MLB Power Rankings After Two Weeks
1. Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers have lost three consecutive games after starting red hot. Ironically, they're now third in the NL West standings behind the Padres and Giants. Yet, the Dodgers are the reigning and defending champs and only got better in the off-season.
They're still the No. 1 team.
2. New York Mets
The New York Mets have won six consecutive games, and it's been primarily because of their pitching.
Those were the question marks for the Mets this season. Could the pitching staff be good enough? They've already proven that they can be. Meanwhile, Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor only have one home run each to start the season. When they get hot, the Mets will be dangerous.
3. Chicago Cubs
The Cubs began the season with an 0-2 record and an unfair schedule of travel. Yet, they overcame those obstacles and are now 9-5. They Have won their third straight series and have an x-factor in Kyle Tucker.
4. San Diego Padres
The Padres currently lead the NL West with nine wins. They're 7-3 in their last ten games but just lost to the Athletics last night with Dylan Cease on the mound.
5. Philadelphia Phillies
6. San Francisco Giants
7. Toronto Blue Jays
8. Detroit Tigers
The Tigers have won five consecutive games, including a couple against the New York Yankees in the freezing cold. This team has a ton of momentum from last season, and they're not looking back this year.
9. Texas Rangers
10. New York Yankees
11. Arizona Diamondbacks
12. Los Angeles Angels
13. Houston Astros
14. Cincinnati Reds
15. Baltimore Orioles
Do the Orioles have enough rotation depth to compete in the American League? I'm not so sure.
16. Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox are having trouble beating teams above .500, and that won't help them get near the top of the AL East.
17. Atlanta Braves
The Braves have two wins after playing 10 games. Nobody could've predicted that, even with games against the Padres and Dodgers.
18. Milwaukee Brewers
19. Tampa Bay Rays
20. Cleveland Guardians
21. Minnesota Twins
22. Seattle Mariners
23. Athletics
Wait a minute... the Athletics have some pop!
24. Kansas City Royals
25. St. Louis Cardinals
26. Washington Nationals
27. Pittsburgh Pirates
28. Colorado Rockies
29. Miami Marlins
30. Chicago White Sox
It's a surprise to no one to see the White Sox down here in last. They've only won two games and have lost six straight. They'll be sitting in the basement of the AL Central once again.
