2025 MLB Playoff Odds: Will the Royals, Blue Jays, Or Diamondbacks Make the Postseason?

2025 MLB Playoff Odds: Will the Royals, Blue Jays, Or Diamondbacks Make the Postseason?
The MLB season is long. Some teams start well and finish poorly, and other teams have brutal starts but make the playoffs.
You can't get down after one loss, but can't get excited after one win. After all, there are 162 games!
Take the Mets, for example. They were 23-32 and were at risk of entering June ten games below .500 for the first time in 23 years. That same team made the NLCS.
And don't forget the Detroit Tigers, who had a less than 1% chance of making the playoffs in August. However, they won 31 of their last 42 games and made the playoffs in late September.
This is why we love baseball.
Below, I'll talk about a few sleeper teams with the pieces to contend for a playoff spot.

MLB Playoff Odds: Teams to Watch
Kansas City Royals (+122) Click here to see Royals Playoff odds
The Kansas City Royals are destined to make the playoffs this season, and the starting rotation has some potential.
Cole Ragans has taken over as the ace. Meanwhile, Seth Lugo performed tremendously last season for the Royals.
Additionally, Kansas City brought in Carlos Estevez to close games, and the bullpen is filled with terrific arms like Lucas Erceg and Hunter Harvey.
Plus, the Royals added Jonathan India at second base and still have Bobby Witt Jr., Vinnie Pasquantino, and Salvador Perez in the middle of the order.
The Royals have a lot of potential this season in a typically weak AL Central.
Toronto Blue Jays (+210) Click here to see Blue Jays Playoff odds
The Blue Jays didn't even come close to expectations last season. But the team got better heading into 2025.
Kevin Gausman, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, and Max Scherzer lead the starting rotation. These veterans can help each otherr perform.
The Blue Jays will also have Jeff Hoffman at closer and top-ten bullpen in the MLB.
Of course, Vladimir Guerruero Jr. will want to perform at a high level to get a new extension. The Blue Jays also still have notable names like Bo Bichette and George Springer.
They also added Anthony Santander and Andres Gimenez, who should help spice up the lineup in different ways. I know Toronto is in a tough AL East, but this team is still very good on paper.
Arizona Diamondbacks (-118) Click here to see Diamondbacks Playoff odds
It seems like nobody is talking about the Arizona Diamondbacks' new addition, Corbin Burnes. Burnes will start alongside Zac Gallen, Merrill Kelly, Brandon Pfaadt, and Eduardo Rodriguez. They also have Ryne Nelson and some depth at the starter position.
Meanwhile, Arizona has Justin Martinez and A.J. Puk closing games. That's stellar.
Oh, and by the way, the Diamondbacks brought in Josh Naylor, who will add a ton of power to a lineup that already had a ton of power.
Arizona is one of the most well-rounded teams in the MLB. They've also got depth. At -118, it's a go for me.
