2025 MLB Power Rankings: Ranking All 30 Teams After the First Week of Baseball
It's not the time to panic if your team is struggling, and you shouldn't get excited if your team is dominating. Many teams have played fewer than five games this season.
There are still more than 155 games to be played for every team in the MLB.
The Detroit Tigers and New York Mets started last season in the dumps, but they somehow made it into the playoffs and made some noise.
Your favorite team will have a significant injury this season, too. It's just how a long season goes. So, sit back and enjoy the MLB season.
That said, I've added my MLB power rankings for April. Let's see where these teams end up in May and beyond.

2025 MLB Power Rankings Heading Into April
1. Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers are currently undefeated with a 6-0 record. This is no surprise. However, they've won games against legitimate playoff contenders.
They can beat you with hitting, pitching, and whatever else. The Dodgers are the best team in the MLB.
2. New York Yankees
Maybe the Brewers stink. But the Yankees socked 15 home runs in their first three games. Not having Gerrit Cole could hurt them. I also don't think this power barrage will continue forever. But for now, the Yankees look like one of the most elite teams in the MLB.
3. San Diego Padres
The Padres are 5-0 and will give the Dodgers a run for their money. The Padres' lineup doesn't excite me as much as the Dodgers. Plus, I don't think San Diego has the best starting rotation depth. But the bullpen could be the best in the MLB.
4. Arizona Diamondbacks
5. Philadelphia Phillies
6. New York Mets
7. Baltimore Orioles
8. Texas Rangers
9. San Francisco Giants
10. Cincinnati Reds
11. St. Louis Cardinals
12. San Francisco Giants
San Francisco is 3-1 and has won two straight games, heading into tonight's action. They've scored 21 runs and have allowed just 12. That'll win you lots of games.
13. Toronto Blue Jays
14. Detroit Tigers
Is last year's magic already lost with a 1-3 record?
15. Tampa Bay Rays
16. Houston Astros
Could this be the year the Astros finally miss the playoffs?
17. Atlanta Braves
The Braves look terrible. But I'm sure they'll rebound eventually.
18. Seattle Mariners
19. Boston Red Sox
20. Cleveland Guardians
21. Minnesota Twins
An 0-4 start isn't ideal for the Minnesota Twins, who had somewhat high expectations coming into the season.
22. Los Angeles Angels
The Los Angeles Angels are 3-1 ont he season and have won three straight games. Should we buy the hype? I'm not going to yet.
23. Milwaukee Brewers
The pitching couldn't be any worse for the Brewers to start the season.
24. Kansas City Royals
25. Athletics
26. Washington Nationals
27. Pittsburgh Pirates
28. Colorado Rockies
29. Miami Marlins
30. Chicago White Sox
