PGA DFS Picks for The Masters 2025: Experts High on Min Woo Lee, Patrick Reed

It’s time for the Masters! Our first major of the year is at the truly iconic Augusta National Golf Club, a par-72 layout that stretches over 7,500 yards. The field is smaller than most events, with just 96 players, a T50 cut and features the run of the LIV players.

The Masters is unique because Augusta is about strategy - a big reason why we see the same players pop up in contention despite struggling throughout the year. It’s a demanding course that truly requires a well-rounded game, resulting in elite winners.

2025 MASTERS DATE, TIME, AND WHERE TO WATCH

  • Date: Thursday, April 10 - Sunday, April 13, 2025
  • Time: 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM ET
  • How to Watch: Masters.com, Masters app, Paramount+, CBS

Masters Key Factors for Success

  • Driving Distance and Off the Tee: Bombers don’t always win, but strong distance is an advantage. More importantly, gaining strokes off the tee is critical.
  • Approach Play: Second shots are important with the demanding par 5s.
  • Around the Green and Putting: Players who don’t gain off the tee make it up with a superb short game.
  • Course History and Experience: While you can succeed on your first time at Augusta (hello Ludvig), Augusta has a learning curve.

Masters DraftKings DFS Picks

PGA DFS Core Lineup

  • Min Woo Lee ($8,500): Experience at Augusta and course fit? Check. Excellent recent form and a 2025 win? Check. Priced right, yet reasonable ownership percentage? Check.
  • Corey Conners ($7,900): Conners’ popularity seems to be increasing, but don’t let that deter you from playing him. He’s underpriced, in strong recent form and has multiple top-10 finishes at Augusta.
  • Patrick Reed ($7,300): Eat the good chalk and don’t get too cute. Reed’s ability to outperform his pricing year after year makes him a must-play.

PGA DFS Value Plays

  • Cam Young ($7,000): Our volatile bomber’s recent form has been genuinely horrific. However, he has back-to-back top-10 Masters finishes. Proceed with caution. I’m envisioning him in Round 1 shooting a 68 or 88 - I’m joking…somewhat.
  • JJ Spaun ($6,800): He’s second on the tour in strokes gained approach and seventh in strokes gained tee-to-green, and has one Masters’ appearance in 2022 with a T23 finish.
  • Aaron Rai ($6,800): Debutants won't win, but at $6,800, we’re looking for a top-20 finish. Rai recently had three straight top-20 finishes at the Mexico Open, Arnold Palmer and the Players.
  • Phil Mickelson ($6,700): Never bet against the lefty…to miss the cut. He’s in decent form and well-priced.

PGA DFS Additional Plays

  • Scottie Scheffler ($12,400) vs. Rory McIlroy ($11,100): Scheffler has a lot working against him (no wins in 2025, difficulty of winning back-to-back), while McIlroy is in his best pre-Masters form since 2019. While I will still have some Scheffler lines, the clear lean in McIlroy.
  • Jon Rahm ($10,400): Other than Aberg, Rahm will have the lowest ownership in the $10k range, just different enough to give you an edge with a little salary relief as well.
  • Joaquin Niemann ($9,300): Strong pivot play off far more popular options, and playing well on LIV.
  • Jordan Spieth ($9,000): Recently at the Masters, he’s all-or-nothing, but his pricing offers flexibility, he’s always live for a top-5 finish and he’s a strong pivot, specifically of Shane Lowry.
  • Cam Smith ($8,200): Smith’s short game appears in excellent form, and that’s all we need for another strong year.

PGA DFS Contrarian Plays

  • Ludvig Aberg ($10,800)
  • Viktor Hovland ($9,200)
  • Tony Finau ($7,800)
  • Bryson DeChambeau ($9,900)
