The 2025 Masters field is set, and it's sure to be an exciting group as they try to prevent Scottie Scheffler from winning again. ANALYSIS

2025 Masters Sleepers and Value Picks: Bet on Lowry, Hovland at Augusta

Scottie Scheffler returns to Augusta National Golf Club as the defending champion at the Masters Tournament. It's the first of four majors scheduled on the 2025 PGA Tour season, meaning the best golfers in the world are set to tee off in pursuit of the iconic green jacket.

Oddsmakers remain bullish on Scheffler as the outright betting favorite at +450 odds. This would be his third green jacket since 2022, with Jon Rahm winning the Masters in 2023.

Rory McIlroy is seeking his first win at Augusta National to complete the four-major sweep. He's currently the second betting favorite this week at +650 odds. Other favorites include Jon Rahm at +1600, Collin Morikawa at +1800, Bryson DeChambeau and Ludvig Aberg at +2000, and Xander Schauffele at +2200 odds.

2025 Masters Sleepers and Value Picks

VIKTOR HOVLAND (+4000) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds

Viktor Hovland's missed cut in 2024 at the Masters is why we're landing 40-1 odds on him to record an outright win this week. The Norwegian golfer bounced back from three straight missed cuts to win the Valspar Championship recently.

Hovland's got plenty of power tee-to-green and isn't far removed from winning the FedExCup Championship in 2023. A T7 finish at Augusta National in 2023 is encouraging. Plus, Hovland ranks 10th SG: Approach in 2025 and seventh in hole proximity.

Putting conditions will neutralize even the best putters in this field, which makes me overlook Hovland's issues with his flat stick this season. Let's bet a quarter unit (0.25) on Hovland to win his first green jacket with plenty of value at +4000.

SHANE LOWRY (+4500) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds

Shane Lowry is no stranger to winning majors. The Irishman won the 2019 Open Championship and has had some quality finishes at the Masters throughout the years.

Lowry is currently 45-1 to win at Augusta National, despite recording three top-10 finishes in 2025, including a runner-up finish at Pebble Beach. His last three events have resulted in a solo 7th, T20, and solo 8th finishes entering the Masters.

Lowry ranks fifth total strokes gained, including sixth SG: Approach, fifth in proximity, and eighth in scrambling. A T43 finish at the Masters in 2024 was his worst since missing the cut in 2019. Lowry's logged a T3 finish in 2022 and a T16 finish in 2023.

At 45-1, let's sprinkle one more quarter unit on Lowry to log his first career win at Augusta National.

RUSSELL HENLEY (+5500) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds

Russell Henley is a great value at 55-1. Henley won the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a late eagle chip on the 16th hole to beat Collin Morikawa a few weeks ago. Now, the Georgia native is set to return to Augusta National in search of his first major title.

Henley has a lot of impressive stats in 2025. He's ranked 22nd SG: Approach, 19th SG: Putting, third at finding greens in regulation (72.8%) and sixth in proximity. If this isn't convincing enough, Henley is also second on par 4s, fourth in birdie average, and fifth in scoring average.

Two years ago, Henley carded a T4 finish at the Masters. He's capable of contending at Augusta National this week, making him another quality sleeper pick at +5500 odds.

COREY CONNERS (+7500) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds

There's a theme I'm rolling with for sleepers and value picks to win the Masters this week and it's all correlated with ball-striking. Corey Conners is among the best in the field with his iron accuracy.

The Canadian ranks 19th SG: Off-the-Tee, 31st in proximity, and 23rd at finding greens in regulation at 69.6 percent. Putting has been a sore spot for Conners historically and it's carried into 2025.

Conners has fared well at Augusta National, although his outings in 2023 (MC) and 2024 (T38) were far from ideal. He's gone T10-T8-T6 at the Masters from 2020-2022, so we know he's capable of playing well at this major.

Let's sprinkle a 0.10 unit bet on Conners to win outright to grab 7.5 units of profit in return.

SEPP STRAKA (+8000) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Masters odds

We'll end with Sepp Straka at 80-1. This feels like a massive mispriced line from oddsmakers. Straka has already collected three top-10 finishes in 2025, including an outright win at the American Express in January.

The Austrian had his best performance in three trips to Augusta National in 2024, carding a T16 finish. Straka ranks seventh in total strokes gained this year, including fifth SG: Approach, ninth driving accuracy, second at finding greens in regulation (73.2%) and second in proximity.

He's an elite ball-striker on the tee and with his approach shots. Putting tends to flare up for Straka, which could be why he's valued so low at 80-1 this week. However, undulating Bentgrass greens are going to be difficult for anyone to conquer at the Masters.

One final 0.10 unit sprinkle on Straka to win the 2025 Masters at 80-1 is highly recommended.
