PGA DFS Picks for The RBC Heritage 2025: Experts High on Xander Schauffele, Daniel Berger

Dust off the Masters’ hanger and dive into the RBC Heritage at the beautiful Harbour Town Golf Links - a par-71 course, featuring 72 of the world’s best players in a no-cut event.

Harbour Town is a strategic masterpiece by Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus, meaning you must approach the course with precision and drivers mean less here. The course offers narrow fairways, overhanging trees and small greens that require a well-rounded game.

2025 RBC HERITAGE DFS Breakdown

Key Factors for Success

  • Driving Accuracy and Course Management: The tight fairways and doglegs require precision over distance. Pay attention to players with strong Good Drives Gained.
  • Approach Play: Solid approach play is a must for second shots, particularly from 150 - 200 yards.
  • Short Game and Putting: Small green lean heavy on an excellent short game and precision putting is a big factor.
  • Course History and Experience: There’s a clear strategic approach to the course and familiarity with Harbour Town’s nuances can be a big benefit.

RBC Heritage DraftKings DFS Picks

PGA DFS Core Lineup

  • Xander Schauffele ($10,400): He’s baaaaack! Schauffele is finally healthy and coming off two solid outings at Valspar and The Masters. His ownership should fall well below Scheffler and Morikawa, making him an excellent GPP pivot.
  • Daniel Berger ($8,300): It’s been a couple of years since he last played here, but Berger has a strong course history. He hasn’t missed a cut since January and his short game is in excellent form.
  • Michael Kim ($7,500): The course history here is bad bad, but we’re at a “ride it ‘til the wheels come off” point with Kim. His form is impeccable, and his only missed cut over the past two months was the Players, where he was still solid.

PGA DFS Value Plays

  • Lucas Glover ($6,900): Glover was a full fade for me last week. This course plays far better to his skillset, and we should take advantage of the pricing.
  • Ryan Gerard ($6,600): The only downside here is potential chalk and no course history. However, he’s potentially the best value in the field and thriving in approach and putting.
  • Ryo Hisatsune ($6,300): Hisatsune has no course history here but fits well, excels in good drives gained and two top 5 finishes in his past three outings.
  • Sami Valimaki ($6,200): If you pay up for Scheffler and another high-end player, you’ll need extreme value, and Valimaki is the move. He’s in solid form, particularly in his approach game.

PGA DFS Additional Plays

  • Scottie Scheffler ($13,100): Despite being a whopping $2,100 more than the next golfer, we’ll continue to plug away with Scheffler. His form is strong; it’s only a matter of time.
  • Collin Morikawa ($10,900): With solid course history and two top 10 finishes, Morikawa will likely be the most popular player this week. Morikawa hasn’t finished outside the top 20 in any tournament this year.
  • Ludvig Aberg ($11,000): Ludvig’s form was solid last week, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t concerned about his ability to bounce back from a triple bogey on his final Masters’ hole. He’s a risky contrarian play.
  • Patrick Cantlay ($10,000): He will be chalky but you can’t argue with six top 10 finishes in his seven outings at RBC.
  • Aaron Rai ($7,900): Rai’s putting does make him a bit of a risk here but his driving and approach play make up for any potential faults on the greens.
  • Akshay Bhatia ($7,700): Bhatia finished T18 at RBC last year and while he’s been a bit volatile over the past month, that volatility means potential sub-10% ownership.
  • Bud Cauley ($7,500): Cauley’s recent form is one of the best in the field and he fits this course very well. Chalk is a mild issue, but he’s still a solid play at value.
