Aston Villa chase a two-goal deficit against PSG in the second leg of this Champions League quarter-final tie.

Aston Villa vs PSG Prediction

  • Despite taking the lead in Paris last week, Aston Villa face an uphill battle if they are to advance to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, after ultimately falling to a 3-1 defeat. Goals from Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes gave the Parisians a two-goal advantage heading into this week's return leg in Birmingham.
  • Villa bounced back on Saturday with a confidence-boosting 3-0 victory over relegated Southampton, while PSG had the luxury of a weekend off in Ligue 1.
  • Expect a rallying effort from the home side in front of their supporters, but the two-goal deficit may prove too steep to overturn.

Score Prediction:  Aston Villa 1-1 PSG

Aston Villa vs PSG Bet Builder Tips

Our Bet Builder Tips for Aston Villa vs PSG features Rogers to be Carded, Dembele to Score & Both Teams to Score.

At the time of publishing it is a best price of 14/1 with bet365.

  • Rogers has been booked in eight of his 31 Premier League games this season and once in the Champions League. Facing PSG’s tricky attackers like Dembele or Kvaratskhelia, he may commit fouls under pressure. His aggressive style makes this a decent pick
  • Dembele has been electric for PSG, with seven Champions League goals (six away) and consistent involvement in Ligue 1. Villa’s need to attack could leave gaps for PSG’s counter, where Dembele thrives.
  • Aston Villa have scored in 12 consecutive matches across all competitions, including their goal in the first leg. PSG have conceded in four of their last five Champions League games, and Villa’s home form (unbeaten in 17 games at Villa Park) suggests they’ll push for goals. PSG’s attacking style also makes them likely to score, especially on the counter.
