This Weekend's Best Bets: The Five Best Bets for the Weekend Ahead
There are so many incredible events taking place over the weekend.
Sunday will literally crown multiple champions.
We've got the Final in Wimbledon (Tennis), Euro 2024 (Soccer), Copa America (Soccer), and Scottish Open (Golf).
We'll give our best bets for some of these championships and sprinkle in a couple of other bets from other sports for our five best bets for the weekend.
Favorite 5 Picks
Wimbledon: Carlos Alcaraz -4.5 (-110) (Bet $110 to collect $210)
Friday, July 12, TBD
Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev will already compete for the third time in Wimbledon. Alcaraz already leads Medvedev 4-=2 in the series.
Ultimately, Alcaraz was blown out by Medvedev in 2021 but has won four of the last five meetings since, including a 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 finish in last summer's Wimbledon.
Alcaraz won Wimbledon last year. But in that matchup against Medvedev, Alcaraz had no trouble returning most of Medvedev's serve. The same thing will likely happen in this matchup.
UFC Fight Night July 13: Drew Dober (-105) (Bet $105 to collect $205)
Saturday, July 13 (Match 3)
This fight happened at the last minute. Jean Silva just fought at UFC 303 and stepped into this fight just two weeks ago.
Recently, the market has been heading back towards Dober. Silva opened up at +155 and has now become the favorite. But after that, bettors are starting to come back on Dober.
If Dober can survive early, his cardio should help him get the win.
UFC Fight Night July 13: Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Muslim Salikhov Under 2.5 Rounds (-114) (Bet $114 to collect $214)
Saturday, July 13 (Match 2)
We've got a matchup between two experienced fighters in the octagon. It's a welterweight co-main event between Santiago Ponzinibbio and Muslim Salikhov.
Both of these fighters recently finished their last fights. Ultimately, Salikhov has been slow and has used a conservative style. However, he'll also put himself in danger a lot. He typically goes all in on his knockouts. If he doesn't connect, his opponent can come in and counter.
That said, Ponzinibbio doesn't have the best chin. If Salikhov connects, he'll win this matchup early. Meanwhile, if he doesn't connect, Salikhov could get hurt on a counter.
I'll grab the Under 2.5 at -114.
Euro 2024 Final: Spain +140 (Three Way) (Bet $100 to collect $240)
Sunday, July 14, 3:00 pm ET
Spain will take on England in the Euro 2024 Final.
For the Final, Spain will get back Robin Le Normand and Dani Carvajal, who were suspended from the Semifinal matchup. That'll only help Spain's defense, which is already deep as it is.
Spain has a good mix of young players and has been more organized and consistent throughout the tournament. It's more likely Spain will sneak in a goal before England.
Copa America: Argentina (+125) (Three Way) ($100 to collect $225)
Sunday, July 14, 8:00 pm ET
Colombia miraculously defeated Uruguay in the semifinal matchup, ultimately down a man for the entire second half.
Uruguay had its chances but couldn't find the back of the net. However, Colombia also had chances. Colombia should've added at least another goal in that game.
Meanwhile, Argentina had an easier road to get to the Final. They had to beat an overachieving Canada team in the semis to advance.
Argentina is the reigning Copa America champions and has the longest unbeaten streak in men's international soccer. Argentina will get the job done in regulation.
