Warriors vs. Lakers Prediction: Can The Warriors Extend Win Streak to Four Games?
The Golden State Warriors will look to earn their fourth straight road win tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers. The game will be TNT's second game of a doubleheader.
Ever since the Warriors acquired Jimmy Butler, Golden State has been winning at a very high pace. While this might surprise some, Draymond Green initially called it before Butler wore the Warriros jersey. Green put some pressure on the Warriors and added some expectations.
You can say what you want about Green, but he clearly knows ball. The Warriors are now 44-31 and just earned a nine-point win over the Grizzlies after Stephen Curry and Butler combined for 79 points.
But while there's hype around the Warriors, there's even more around the Lakers. Los Angeles acquired an even bigger superstar, Luka Doncic, and has even bigger expectations. In addition, the Lakers have already earned three straight wins against the Warriors this season and will be going for the season sweep tonight.
We're in for a treat.

Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers Prediction
The Golden State Warriors have added 114.6 points per 100 possessions while shooting a 53.6% effective field goal percentage. These numbers are below average. As a matter of fact, the only above-average state for the Warriors on offense has been their offensive rebounds.
The Warriors have hauled in 29.9% of offensive rebounds and should at least add some second chances tonight. That said, the Lakers rank 7th in the NBA in defensive free throw rate and likely won't give the Warriors many chances at the foul line tonight.
On the other hand, the Lakers have performed better offensively throughout the season. Los Angeles ranks No. 1 in the NBA in free-throw rate and has shot a 55.8% effective field goal percentage.
Meanwhile, the Lakers have grabbed just 25.5% of offensive rebounds. They'll have difficulty finding good looks against a Warriors team with limited opponents to a 54.4% effective field goal percentage. That certainly won't help, especially since the Lakers likely won't dominate the offensive glass.
Plus, the Warriors rank fourth in the NBA in forcing turnovers. Golden State could certainly hurt the Lakers' offensive rhythm.
While it's fun to pick a side most of the time, the under 229.5 is calling my name tonight.
