St. Louis Blues' Win Streak: Predicting Their Next Loss Before Breaking the Franchise Record

The St. Louis Blues are the hottest team in the NHL right now, winning 10 straight games since March 15th. As a result, the Blues have played themselves into a Western Conference Wild Card seed.

Now, FanDuel Sportsbook is offering odds on when the next St. Louis Blues loss will occur. With only six games left in the 2024-25 NHL regular season, each of these matchups has plus odds value to bet on FanDuel.

NHL handicapper Matt MacKay is here to break down the best way to play this Team Futures betting market prop on the St. Louis Blues ahead of tonight's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins using updated odds. St. Louis Blues Win Streak Odds: Next Loss Chances

VS. PITTSBURGH PENGUINS (APRIL 3): +175 Click here to see the latest Blues vs. Penguins Odds

Pittsburgh was the last team to beat St. Louis. The Penguins won 5-3 at home. Now, they'll look to end the Blues' 10-game win streak on the road Thursday night.

Tristan Jarry has been shaky as a goaltender for Pittsburgh but he is coming off of a shutout win against Ottawa. I expect the Blues to be motivated against the last team to beat them.

+175 indicates oddsmakers believe the Blues' win streak ends tonight. Pittsburgh has only scored four goals in their last three games combined. With Joel Hofer in the net, who is a quality second option for St. Louis, I'm predicting an 11th consecutive win for St. Louis on home ice.

VS. COLORADO AVALANCHE (APRIL 5): +140

Colorado has been on a tear this season and is among the top contenders to win the Stanley Cup. The Avalanche did lose at home against the Blues on March 29th, 2-1 in regulation.

Oddsmakers have even shorter odds for the Blues to lose to Colorado, which makes a lot of sense. Based on how good the Avs have been on both ends of the ice, including 7-2-1 SU in their last 10 games played, I'd bet a unit on the Blues to lose on April 5th against Colorado at +140 odds.

VS. WINNIPEG JETS (APRIL 7): +380

This is where the odds start to jump. If St. Louis can beat Colorado twice in a week, they'll have an equally tough matchup on the road against the Winnipeg Jets.

The Jets are most likely going to win the Presidents' Trophy for most points in the regular season, largely due to their goaltender, Connor Hellebuyck. He's currently the favorite to win the Hart Memorial Trophy for NHL MVP, which hasn't been won by a goalie since Carey Price in 2015.

The Blues lost 4-3 in a shootout against Winnipeg at home in their previous head-to-head matchup in late February. I'd bet half a unit on Winnipeg to hand the Blues their next loss at +380 odds. This will most likely hit, assuming Colorado doesn't get revenge against St. Louis beforehand.

VS. EDMONTON OILERS (APRIL 9): +1100

We're going up to 11-1 odds for the Blues to run through a gauntlet of matchups between the Avalanche and Jets, staying undefeated for a road game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Edmonton has looked shaky this season and star center Connor McDavid remains day-to-day due to injury. Leon Draisaitl is the next betting favorite to win NHL MVP this season, leading the league in goals.

St. Louis has lost both matchups against the Oilers this season, including a 3-2 overtime loss on February 4th. I don't expect the streak to make it this far, so don't bet more than a quarter (0.25) unit wager on this particular futures prop.

VS. SEATTLE KRAKEN (APRIL 12): +3000

Seattle has been eliminated from playoff contention but they just routed Vancouver 5-0 on Wednesday night. The Kraken will play hard but this number is only 30-1 due to St. Louis having to win four straight games against three top-tier opponents.

Don't bet 30-1 on St. Louis to have their winning streak snapped by Seattle. It's their second-to-last game on the regular season schedule and it's very unlikely we see the Blues beat the Avalanche, then go on the road to beat the Jets and Oilers.

VS. UTAH HOCKEY CLUB (APRIL 15): +5000

If you believe that St. Louis will make its way through this final five-game stretch undefeated, only to lose against Utah, you can get this futures prop at a 50-1 price. Utah has some good offense but a very porous defense. However, the Utah Hockey Club is 2-1 SU against the Blues this season.

This is another enticing prop that holds almost no realistic probability based on the difficult schedule the Blues are left to play. 50-1 is the best number on the board though, so if you want to sprinkle a 0.10 unit wager to get five units of profit, I understand. Just don't go crazy.

NO MORE LOSSES DURING REGULAR SEASON: +3600

Oddsmakers are saying it's more likely that the St. Louis Blues will not lose another game in the regular season than lose their final matchup to Utah at home. We've got 36-1 odds for the Blues to go 6-0 to extend their winning streak to 16 games entering the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

St. Louis has rallied in each of its last three wins to avoid a loss. The variance and luck will run dry soon, most likely against Colorado or Winnipeg. I don't recommend betting this line, especially since you can sprinkle on Utah to ruin their winning streak in the season finale at 50-1.
