To obtain an internet gambling license, you will have to pay $400,000 and an additional $250,000 towards responsible gambling, which means the total fee for an online license in the New Jersey sports betting market, is $650,000.
Tax Requirements for Online Betting in New Jersey
Casinos are taxed at 8.5% for bets taken at land-based locations, while tax on an electronic wager, online or via a betting app is set at 13.

Seton Hall Pirates is the name for sports teams representing Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. The school sponsors six men’s and eight women’s athletics programs. It also sponsored football until 1982, but the school dropped the sport.

One of the most prestigious colleges in the country, Princeton University is a historic institution for athletics and academia. Monmouth Park Racing

2013: NJ District Judge, Michael Shipp ruled in favor of the Athletic Leagues, meaning New Jersey could not issue sports betting licenses in the Garden State. In September 2013, this ruling was upheld.
2012: In the same year, the NCAA, NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB all came together to file a suit against sports betting, citing the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992, also known as PASPA.
2012: New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie signed legislation, which allowed sports betting in the Garden State. This came after the 2-to-1 vote in favor of NJ sports betting in November 2011. This law was set to permit the state's 12 casinos and 4 racetracks to allow sports bets on professional and college sports. There was however a stipulation that betting on college sports that took place in NJ was not allowed. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement then outlined its regulations for NJ sports betting.
