Eurovision 2024

The semi-finals are over, we’ve seen all the acts, and we know our final lineup. That leaves just one thing: Saturday’s main event - the Eurovision Final 2024.

The final 10 places were decided on Thursday evening, with Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Armenia, Georgia, Estonia, Israel, Norway, the Netherlands and surprise package, Latvia, rounding out the final 26.

But, who will be crowned the winner of Eurovision 2024?

Eurovision Final Predictions

Now we have seen all of the acts in full force, with their staging to boot, the market has settled, and we can posit a guess at who will be near the top of the table late on Saturday night.

Croatia remain the hot favourites with bookmakers, with Baby Lasagna’s ‘Rim Tim Tagi Dim’ continuing its pre-semi-final popularity through the semi itself and into the final. He is 1/1 (Paddy Power) to take the crown. It’s hard to argue with those odds.

But argue I shall, this is Eurovision after all and surprises can be expected. Despite the controversy surrounding the war-related song, and their very entry, Israel look a surprisingly strong bet at 10/3 on bet365 after making it through the semi-final.

I would expect one of these two to take the crown, but they are being closely chased by those rounding out the bookies’ top five favourites, Switzerland 6/1, Ireland 20/1 and France 25/1, who are all in with a shout.

Eurovision Tips

My left field tips - though there is really no left field at Eurovision - come in the form of Finland and the Netherlands (twiced advised by Sam Eaton this week).

Both songs, ‘No Rules!’ and ‘Europapa’ possess the kind of uniqueness that does so well in the competition. Unless, of course, a big ballad steals the show.

‘Europapa’ specifically has been a big hit for Joost Klein and the Netherlands - at 50/1 on Ladbrokes having started the week at 14s, he’s a great long-shot and well worth a punt.

Can Windows95man become only the second Finnish act to win Eurovision after the infamous Lordi in 2006? At 250/1 on BoyleSports (shortest 100/1), it’s a huge outside bet, but this is Eurovision, almost anything can happen.

Finland come in level with the UK’s Olly Alexander, who is a matched 250/1 to win but 4/1 to finish last. You’d be safer putting your money on the latter - the UK’s last five results read: 25th, 2nd, 26th, 26th, 24th.
