1. Constitution Hill (Champion Hurdle)
Odds: 7/4 Favourite
A fan favourite, unsurprisingly Constitution Hill has been our top bet over the summer months by quite a way. Currently leading the Champion Hurdle ante-post market at a price of 7/4, Nicky Henderson’s star horse has taken a staggering 78% of the bets placed on the Champion Hurdle market with us.
The latest news out of the Henderson yard is that the seven-year-old is in terrific form and ready to make up for lost time.
Triumph Hurdle
2. Willy De Houelle (Triumph Hurdle)
Odds: 6/1 Favourite
Acquired over the summer by Rich Ricci and now at the Willie Mullins yard, Willy De Houelle is being dubbed the next superstar by many pundits in the sport.
A surge of bets around late August saw this horse’s price slashed from 33/1 to the 8/1 favourite for the Triumph Hurdle. Since August 20th, this three-year-old has taken 59% of all bets placed on the Triumph Hurdle winner market.
Arkle Chase
3. Ballyburn (Arkle Chase)
Odds: 5/2 Favourite
Third on our most popular bets is Ballyburn to win the Arkle Chase. Winner of last year's Gallagher Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham, Ballyburn is tipped to pick up another Grade 1 at the 2025 edition.
Willie Mullins’ six-year-old has been nibbled at in a couple of different races but the Arkle Chase is by far the most popular ante-post selection over the summer.
This price has come in from 5/1 since June and this horse has taken 50% of ante-post bets made on the Arkle since June.
Stayers' Hurdle
4. Teahupoo (Stayers’ Hurdle)
Odds: 5/2 Favourite
The 2024 Stayers’ Hurdle winner, Teahupoo, comes in as our fourth most popular bet over the summer, looking to regain the long-distance hurdle crown in March.
Gordon Elliott’s seven-year-old went unbeaten last season collecting three Grade 1 victories and Oddschecker punters are keen on him being successful at the 2025 Festival.
67% of all bets placed on the Stayers’ Hurdle market over the summer have backed Teahupoo for victory.
Supreme Novices' Hurdle
5. Salvator Mundi (Supreme Novices' Hurdle)
Odds: 14/1 Joint-Favourite
Beaten in the Triumph Hurdle at the last Festival, Salvator Mundi has been the top bet to win the Supreme Hurdle at next year's renewal.
Currently joint on 14/1 with Redemption Day at the top of the market, Salvator Mundi has picked up 35% of the bets for the Supreme, compared to 6% for Redemption Day.
Last seen winning by 62 lengths at Tipperary, the vibes are good coming out of the Mullins yard about this four-year-old backed up with a surge of betting support.
