Will McIlroy win the grand finale of the DP World Tour season?
The DP World Tour Championship is the grand finale of the DP World Tour season, held annually at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai.
The placings in this event will determine the final Race to Dubai rankings and the winner among the top 50 players left competing.
As things stand Rory McIlroy sits top of table with 4,997.66 points and Thriston Lawrences is second with 3,212.64.
The winner of this event takes home 2,000 Race to Dubai points so a finish in the top 11 for McIlroy will be enough to secure victory and take home the largest share of the $6,000,000 prize pot.
Lawrence would likely need McIlroy to finish outside the top 11 and the South African would need to win the event to stand a chance at taking the top spot.

Who is favourite to win the DP World Tour Championship?
Rory McIlroy is currently the strong favourite to win the DP World Tour Championship and secure victory in the Race to Dubai, with a best price of 4/1 available at BetMGM.
McIlroy has an impressive record at the event, having won the tournament twice, in 2012 and 2015. A win this year would mark his fourth of the season across both tours.
However, despite what seems like a resounding achievement, Rory's season has had its share of ups and downs.
While he's displayed flashes of brilliance, including wins at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans (with Shane Lowry), and the Wells Fargo Championship, his campaign has also been marred by a few near misses. Most notably, his runner-up finish at the U.S. Open extended his decade-long wait for a fifth major title.
Thriston Lawrence meanwhile has been given a 28/1 chance with various bookmakers including bet365 to win this week.
He isn't without a chance either after showing last year that he was capable of winning at Jumeirah Golf Estates, finishing fifth in this tournament.
