Eurovision 2018

The Czechs hold a pretty dismal Eurovision record, but that could be set to change due to their entrant this year in Mikolas Josef.

Their song entry Lie to Me’, has everything you need to conquer Eurovision - a former model singer, catchy lyrics and trumpets!

Czech Republic's entry is a far cry from last year’s Portuguese winner, but should poll well in their neighbouring countries, and the Scandinavian nations.

Czech Republic could have been backed at a massive 66/1 earlier in the year, that value has well and truly gone, but with the hype surrounding Israel’s entrant that means there’s still 9/1 available.

The song has already racked up 1.5million YouTube plays, still lagging behind the 6.5million plays for Israel’s entrant, but expect that gap to shorten following the semi-finals.

Czech Republic - 2pts @ 9/1

Cyprus have finished in the low 20s in the previous three years, and despite being a treble figure price, they’re capable of smashing their recent record in Lisbon.

Four of the five countries who give Cyprus the most votes historically are among the favourites to win the event, therefore they could benefit from some strategical voting.

The good news for the Cypriots is four of the five countries who give their country the most votes are expected to be in the final.

Eleni Foureira is their entrant, and her song ‘Fuego’ has already clocked up 2.5million YouTube plays in the last two weeks.

Foureira is very popular in Greece due to her career as a singer and was also a judge on the Greek version of So You Think You Can Dance.

Cyprus have drifted from 33/1 earlier in the year to as big as 100/1, making them a massive each-way bet.

Cyprus - 1pt e/w @ 100/1

Azerbaijan have a tremendous record at Eurovision, never finishing lower than 22nd, and finishing in the top 3 on three different occasions (10 entries).

With an annoyingly catchy song and neighbouring countries tending to generous to them makes Azerbaijan worth a bet at 70/1.

Azerbaijan - 0.5pts e/w @ 70/1

Since the Aussies' debut in the competition back in Vienna, they've never finished outside the top 10 - and that won’t be changing anytime soon.

Jessica Mouboy is their entrant this year and has previously supported Beyonce and Chris Brown.

Australia Top 10 - 3pts @ 8/11
