The co-main event of UFC 314 will feature Michael Chandler against Paddy Pimblett in an exciting lightweight bout, held in the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
They'll fight before the main event between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes. This matchup is also a five-round fight in the lightweight division.
While Michael Chandler has been an exciting addition to the UFC roster, he's done very little winning.
Chandler is 2-4 since joining the UFC and has lost two consecutive fights to Dustin Poirier and Charles Oliveria. Yet, he had a fight lined up with Connor McGregor, which was initially set for UFC 303. However, McGregor was forced to cancel the fight due to an injury.
That's why Chandler is fighting Piblett in UFC 314.
Of course, McGregor will be watching this fight closely, hoping to get back and potentially fight Chandler or even Pimblett in the future.

Paddy Pimblett has been labeled as one of the most exciting up-and-coming stars in the sport. He's finally established himself as one of the top dogs in the lightweight division.
However, his opponent has faced some of the best of the best, between Oliveria, Poirier, Tony Ferguson, Justin Gaethje, and Dan Hooker.
Pimblett also has a win over Tony Ferguson, but he hasn't faced Chandler's level of competition.
That said, there's always a first. Pimblett will get the opportunity to face Chandler and prove he's worthy of being the best, most notable breakout star in the sport.
While Chanlder is an excellent fighter, he always finds ways to lose. He has all the tools, but he never stays consistent enough in the octagon to win.
Ultimately, Chandler has the advantage with wrestling. He's also much quicker and probably has more power, too. But Pimblett is savvy. He's a terrific grappler and could potentially force Chandler to make a mistake at the bottom. It's also possible that Pimblett can earn some take downs and submit him.
It's fun watching Chandler. But he's not a winner in the UFC. Give me Pimblett to earn the win.
